Online shoppers can't touch your product. Video is the closest they get — and shoppers who watch a product video are dramatically more likely to buy. Here's what to make, whether you sell online, in-store, or both.

The four essential product video formats

  • The hero showcase. 15–30 seconds of your product looking its absolute best — detail close-ups, texture, scale. This lives on your product page and socials.
  • The in-use demo. The product doing its job in real life. A candle burning, a bag being packed, a tool being used. Context creates desire.
  • The unboxing. Packaging is part of the product. Unboxings feel like a gift and perform beautifully organically.
  • The UGC-style ad. A creator-style video that looks like a genuine recommendation, not an ad. This is the top-performing paid ad format on Meta and TikTok right now — we made one for a pet care app; see it here.

For local retail: video that drives foot traffic

  • New arrival drops. Film the box opening, the shelf being stocked. Regulars come in for what they saw online.
  • "Come with me to restock ___." Behind-the-scenes retail content has a devoted audience.
  • Local hooks. "The shop in [city] where ___" — local discovery content brings neighbors through the door.

Budget reality check

You don't need a studio. A phone, a window, and a clean surface cover 90% of product content. What separates amateur from professional is editing — pacing, captions, music, and format. Film the raw clips and let us polish them, or see our retail & e-commerce services.
